Here we are in December, the last few weeks of the year. Now is a good time to reflect on 2019 and make plans as we enter a new decade.
2019 for JS Web Solutions meant less blogging but doing what we love and helping businesses of different sizes and types make their website goals a reality. We also made our web goals a reality by revamping our website and consolidating information in hopes to make it easier for people to navigate our own website.
What we accomplished
Big changes for WordPress was Gutenberg has finally been fully implemented as the standard way for people to add content and the “Classic Editor” is now a plugin. As we are watching the ever changing landscape of the web, we have been going with the flow changing our product offerings to be more in line and work with the direction WordPress is moving making it easier for clients to have their content integrate as we move towards a different way to do things on the web.
For our company goals we worked on client retention by starting to offer web hosting, and maintenance as a part of what we do in 2019. This has worked well for our clients to be able to stay with us long after we launch their websites so we can continue to improve their offerings and keep their websites secure and up-to-date. Earlier this year Sucuri released a 2018 study that WordPress sites are more likely than any other CMS to be hacked for the simple reason that businesses don’t keep their Theme and plugins up to date. So by us offering maintenance as an ongoing service our clients have been able to avoid having issues and keep their sites up to date and safe.
The other thing that was started, and will be continued in 2020 is our in-house designer and front end developer started writing articles that relate to design and front end development in hopes of helping people understand why sometimes things happen when they look at their site on varying devices.
Where we are going
As we are quickly approaching 2020 we are hoping to continue to bring our clients with the same knowledgeable expertise that we love to share with every new project. Continue to help our existing clients grow, pivot or develop their websites and business on the web.
We plan on continuing to grow our own business and find time for our company to nurture and grow our products and marketing. We really look forward to 2020 and hope that everyone has a great new year and great start to a new decade!
